The Countess of Dufferin Regatta is coming up September 19 & 20!

We’re looking forward to a full weekend of racing and a great Saturday evening at the Club — and everyone is invited! You don’t need to be racing to take part. Members, family, friends and guests are all welcome to join us.

Saturday, September 19 – Keelboat Racing

We’ll have three races scheduled on Saturday.

Skippers’ Meeting: 9:00 AM
Location: Flagpole in front of the Club
Racing Registration: $20

After racing, the fun moves back to the Club. Live music will start as the boats and crews return to the dock and continue through and after dinner.

Come down, welcome the racers back, enjoy the music, have dinner and spend the evening at the Club. Bring your family and invite your friends — everyone is welcome, whether you raced or not.

Sunday, September 20 – Centreboard Racing

Sunday brings our centreboard sailors onto the course.

Skippers’ Meeting: 9:00 AM
Location: Deck at the Centreboard Compound

Online registration opens this Friday, September 4.

Please register online for racing and for Saturday dinner. Racing registration is just $20.

Let’s make the Countess of Dufferin a great weekend both on and off the water. Race with us, come down to watch, join us for dinner and live music, and bring some friends along.

We hope to see a great crowd at the Club!

ONTARIO SAFE SPORT - 2026

What is Safe Sport? Safe Sport is a policy Manual that outlines expected standards of behavior that are designed to create a safe sport environment by preventing, as much as possible, inappropriate behavior from occurring in the first place. It contains policies and procedures to provide for consistent, timely, appropriate and meaningful action should any issues arise.

CONCUSSION CODE CONDUCT - ONTARIO SAILING

Ontario Sailing has prepared a document summarizing a Concussion Code of Conduct for all sailing athletes. By providing your name, and acknowledging this code - you will have digitally agreed to this code. The code provides a summary of what individuals need to know about concussions, and what should be done while participating in a sailing event.

Why do we subscribe to these policies? The CYC's goal is to foster a positive, safe sporting environment. Safe Sport and Rowan's law are tools that help us to ensure our sporting environment is well equiped to handle challenges that may arise and to keep our sailing/sporting community safe!

Note also, that all race participants, both skipper and crew must complete the mandatory review and acknowledgements of the CYC waiver, Ontario Safe Sport and the Ontario Sailing Concussion code of contact. Please see separate link on the Racing page.

As Skipper, you are also acknowledging your responsibility as a Designated person to ensure the Concussion protocol is in place on your boat. Please review the attached link.
