These levels are progressively more complex in terms of learning more boat and sailing terminology and practical levels of seamanship and boat handling skills. On the completion of White Sail III, the beginner sailor will be able to sail with confidence, competently and safely in wind strengths of 8-16 km/hr (4-8 knots) with a good knowledge of terminology, knots, safety and rules of the road.

This program emphasizes advanced theory, sail trim, and seamanship in heavier wind conditions. Sailors in Bronze Sail Level V additionally learn spinnaker handling, trapeze work and boat maintenance. Our 420 dinghies will be used for these levels.
